Dates and Times

The International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) is offering a new program of Certified MIL-STD EMC Specialist.

This program is ideal for those professionals with at least 6 years experience in the design, development and testing of military equipment that must meet the demanding requirements of the Military EMC Standards.

Administration of an examination of competency, offered in conjunction with our popular MIL-STD-461 training, will allow the opportunity for attendees to attain the title of iNARTE Certified MIL-STD EMC Specialist.

Details of the Examination:

The open book examination is based on the familiar iNARTE format, but with a strong focus on the MIL-STD methods. The examination will be intended to be taken over a four hour time span and consist of 48 multiple choice questions, no more than 40 of which should be attempted. The passing grade will be 28 correct answers.

A minimum of 50% of the questions will be directly related to the MIL-STD-461, 464 and related military test methods. The remainder of the test will include general EMC knowledge on the following areas:

Antennas – Amplifiers – Field theory – Filters – Mathematics – Shielding – Grounding & bonding – Electrical networks

Note: Post-secondary education years in a physical science or engineering discipline may count towards experience. Candidates who pass the test but do not yet have the experience will be awarded an Associate Certificate.

Cost:

Registration with iNARTE is a pre-requisite ($75 paid directly to iNARTE) and registration with WL is $50 ($0 for students attending the MIL-STD-461F training course).
