Webinar Series Classes

February 9, 2017: MIL-STD-1275
This webinar provides instruction on testing associated with qualifying utilization products for compliance with MIL-STD-1275 Military Vehicle Power Characteristics. Revision “E” is current but variances of prior revisions are noted in the presentation because vehicle power quality have varied over the years since this standard was originally developed.  Requirements dealing with voltage stability, transient disturbances (spikes and surges), vehicle operation variances and other power tolerance issues associated with military vehicle power will be the focus of this presentation.  Discussion includes methods to test and evaluate for compliance.

February 16, 2017: MIL-STD-1399
This webinar discusses testing requirements associated with shipboard power for utilization equipment.  AC power (MIL-STD-1399-300B) and DC power (MIL-STD-1399-390) test methods are reviewed with a focus on application of the standard.  Power (voltage and frequency) variation, transient issues, distortion loading and collection of data necessary for ship integration are integral to this presentation.  This class content is essential to those responsible for product design and evaluation for power quality associated with shipboard electronic equipment integration.

February 23, 2017: MIL-STD-704
MIL-STD-704 has seen several revisions since first introduced as the quality of aircraft power systems have evolved.  This class examines the various test and evaluation requirements associated with aircraft utilization equipment including variances between revisions.  Steady state power, interruptions, transients and data collection are reviewed.  This class should be attended by those dealing with equipment design and qualification for aircraft power.
