Ready for RED
Washington Laboratories invites you to a FREE (no charge) open house at our Gaithersburg, MD facility where our associates will present information on the timely topic – Radio Equipment Directive (RED). Starting at 11AM with mixing and mingling followed by presentations on:
Efficient Use of Spectrum presented by John Repella
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) presented by Steve Koster
Low Voltage Directive (LVD) presented by Elmer Rodriguez
The RED calls for verification of these matters during product qualification – yes the LVD applies without regard to the voltage. Risk analysis is also specified, so this will be included in the discussion. From spectrum control of the transmit function to EMC immunity to electrical safety (IEC 62368) evaluations the attendee will not only learn about the requirements, the presenters will be able to discuss specific concerns and describe how to prepare for testing. Lab demos will be included!
We look forward to seeing you there for the 2-3 hours of discussion with each other and our team.
