RFID Testing

RFID is a lot more prevalent than it was; it is used for inventory control, electronic article surveillance, process control and sample identification just to name a few.  RFID readers are certified as unlicensed devices per FCC Part 15.  Part 15.225 is for RFID readers in the 13.56 MHz range, and Part 15.247 is used for RFID readers in the 900 MHz range.

Washington Laboratories can help you obtain certification for the FCC and Industry Canada as well as testing the units for compliance with the European requirements for these devices.

We provide Wireless Certification services for RFID, WLAN, Public Service, Satellite, Industrial and Telecommunications manufacturers.

  • Licensed and unlicensed radio transmitters are subject to Certification under the FCC Rules and Regulations.
  • FCC Part 15 Certification applies to unlicensed low power devices, such as WiFi, 802.11 a/b/g/n, RFID, Bluetooth, periodic operation and short-range device (SRD) operation.

We are a Notified Body for the Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment Directive (R&TTED-1995/5/EC, which will be superseded by 2014/53/EC and is effective 13 June 2016).
